Arbor Bed and Breakfast Prince George

Welcome to Arbor Bed and Breakfast

Your Hosts: Peter and Julie Griffiths

When Peter and Julie moved back to Prince George in 1998 they were planning to start a Bed and Breakfast.   Julie had many years of small business marketing and customer service and they were excited about choosing a home in a part of Prince George that offered forests, trails and clean country air. When they bought the house the garden was mostly gravel and weeds BUT it was adjacent to over 100 km of trails,  incredible potentia,l and only a 10 minute drive from town.

Peter and Julie  have traveled extensively including Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, Costa Rica, Fiji, Singapore and Hawaii and have enjoyed the Bed and Breakfast experiences worldwide. They have also participated in two exciting Northern Canadian  Raft trips – one on the Tatshenshini River and one on the Burnside River which flows into the Arctic Ocean.

In the “off-season” Julie has time for her other passions – Nordic Skiing and Sewing/Art Quilting. Examples of her handiwork are evident throughout the B&B.

Although the B&B is primarily Julie’s, Peter is an active participant when he is home and helps out with driving guests to the train, enjoying morning conversation and tackling the never ending “To Do” list. For recreation Peter loves time spent with the Julie and and the dogs, swimming, skiing and reading.

Our B&B staff includes our wonderful orange tabby cat Furry.

Furry the Orange Tabby  is very friendly and of course rules the house.  She likes to remind us that she is an international model!  This picture was taken by a professional photographer from the Netherlands and is featured on his photography website.

Meet Dashiell!  He is  one of the “mystery” litter and each pup is named after a mystery writer.  He is honoured to be named after Dashiell Hammett of the Maltese Falcon fame.  I think the name will be shortened to Dash for a nickname but we promised the breeders ( Bondir Kennels) that we wouldn’t change it.  This is our third Springer from the Dorsay’s and the first that has had show and performance potential so the pressure is on to not disappoint.  Dashiell will be joining our household in late March 2017.

Unfortunately our female Springer passed away unexpectably in November 2015 .

Oliver, our Pet Therapy Dog passed away  in March 2014 at the age of 13 years and 3 months.

The pets are available for visits anytime but are not allowed in the B&B area.
