Around Prince George

We are situated in a beautiful forest wilderness area, with many opportunities for outdoor recreation. We have over 100 km of trails at our doorstep which are wonderful in Winter or Summer. Our Bed and Breakfast is only 10 minutes from the Otway Nordic Ski area and has two downhill ski hills less than an hour away. Other outdoor activities include hiking trails, river-walking trails, local jet boat rides on the Nechako River, fishing, camping, biking, great golfing, forest industry tours ... and more! Your hosts can help you with arrangements.

The city of 81,000 is young and modern, with one of Canada's newest university (University of Northern British Columbia), many beautiful parks, wonderful restaurants, art gallery, museums, and great recreational facilities - including a theme wave pool.

While you are here, plan to visit the Prince George Railway & Forestry Museum, The Two Rivers Art Gallery, The Exploration Place museum, and UNBC (Canada's GREEN University). Also plan to see both the Historic Huble Homestead and Giscome Portage Trail.

Also, Sawmill and Pulp Mill tours can be arranged during the summer months.

Both attractions are living museums of the Canadian experience, and are open from May through to September long weekends.
